Biography

Lee graduated in 1978 from Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, PA, with a BA degree in Communications. Lee's professional experience includes nearly 20 years working in sales & marketing. Prior to joining BioDiversity Research Institute (BRI), in 1998, he spent time traveling the world and volunteering at several non-profit organizations, and he was employed at the Loon Preservation Committee in Moultonborough, NH, as a Wildlife Researcher and Membership Director.

As Business Manager/Wildlife Researcher, for BRI, Lee's duties include day-to-day oversight of finances, personnel, and administration. When time permits, Lee continues common loon monitoring efforts in the field, and partial oversight of BRI's wildly popular wildlife cams. In 2003, he helped introduce the first live "loon cam", using sophisticated video equipment to monitor nesting common loons in Maine. Lee recently managed a five - year study of breeding common loon activity on Mount Desert Island, Maine, in collaboration with the National Park Service, and the Somes Meynell Wildlife Sanctuary.
