If you've spent much time camping or hiking around the lakes of Maine, or elsewhere in North America, you are no doubt familiar with the call of the Common Loon. The bird is under threat from pollution, disease and development. Maine Public Radio's Tom Porter spoke to BRI executive director David Evers about the Institute's loon research and the upcoming launch of the largest loon conservation study in North America.
