Presentations About Our Research
We make great efforts to reach public audiences of all ages and knowledge levels with presentations that highlight our research results and methods. We can offer expertise on a broad range of topics but examples of well-received presentations include:
Common Loon Natural History and the Role of Loons as Indicators of Lake System Health: This presentation discusses loon biology over the course of the seasons and relates findings from over ten years of loon research in Maine. (Grade 3-Adult)
Studying Movements of Saw-whet Owls, Peregrine Falcons, and Common Eiders: This presentation provide an overview of three research projects that aim to understand the movements of birds in coastal Maine. (Grade 6-Adult)
Surveying Bald Eagle Nests in Maine: This presentation introduces eagle biology and shares research results and methods from BRI’s efforts to understand mercury exposure in Maine’s Bald Eagles. We also share observations and insight from our Eagle webcams. (Grade 6-Adult)
