River Point Bird Observatory offers a unique experience for students, educators, and the community to learn about bird biology through hands-on bird banding demonstrations, nature walks and talks, and specially planned events that highlight wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship.
World Migratory Bird Day (formerly International Migratory Bird Day) is celebrated annually at River Point Conservation Area, where BRI, our partners, and the community join together in a celebration of migratory birds. This event takes place in early May and features a day filled with fun and activities such as bird walks, nature walks, and the unique opportunity to see research in action through bird banding demonstrations.
